Here I am finally talking about the last book I read, The Crowns of Croswald. 

This is my first review in English here on my blog and I hope you like it.

I want to thanks the author of the book for sending me a copy of it. 

I saw a lot of pictures of this novel on instagram and I was really interested in reading a new fantasy.

First I’m sorry because there will probably be some mistakes with my English and thanks everybody who will read my review.

PLOT

REVIEW

It took me some days to finished it only because I didn’t have any time to read. In fact the book is amazing and the story  is super interesting and very well written   You can’t take your eyes off the pages because you want to know what’s going on.

This book is a Young Adult fantasy that has  lot’s in common with Harry Potter , Alice in the wonderland and fairytales like Cinderella or Snow White. 

The story takes place in a new world in which there are the royals who can do magic because of their family’s crowns and then there are the Scrivenists , who have a photographic memory and can sketch everything with their quills. 

The main character is a young girl, called Ivy who, in the first part of the book is only a maid in a castle. She works in the kitchen and she takes care of the scaldrons, super cute dragons that provide fire for cooking food. Only during the night she goes out in the Slurry where she sketches a castle from her dreams and she talks with her only friend , a dwarf   Her miserable life changes completely when, due to some events, she crossed the fields and she finds out that magic runs in her blood. Now she is invitate to go to the Halls of Ivy , a prestigious magic school where she can learn how to be a future scrivenist. 

All her dreams about a new life are finally come true.  Between her new lessons Ivy will discover amazing magical creatures, potions and glanangeries and she will try to find her real place and her real story, solving mysterious circumstances with the help of her best friends Rebecca and Fyn. And of course there will be so many magical adventures, twists and turns and a little love story.
